Bankruptcy: the unemployment rate in April 2017 was 4.4%

Posted on May 31, 2017 · Posted in Bankruptcy

This represents a decrease from March, when it was 4.5%, and a decrease from 2016, when unemployment was 5.0% in April.  Over the past twelve months, the unemployment rate increased three times, decreased six times and held steady three times.

Unemployment appears to be stabilizing at a lower than average rate.  This is good news for those who were unemployed and had to borrow in order to pay for household living expenses.

However, for some, it’s too little and too late, as they find that their new jobs pay too little to keep up with the debt that they accumulated while they were unemployed.  If you find that you are unable to make ends meet, Advantage Credit Counseling Service may be helpful in negotiating lower interest rates, longer terms, and lower monthly payment amounts.  If not, please do not hesitate to contact us about bankruptcy.
